Theatre school opens doors for trial day

THURROCK-based Creative Blast Performing Arts Academy has been celebrating its tenth Birthday this year and youngsters will get a chance to sample the experience later this month.

Celebrations have included a concert in March, where past students were invited back on stage and an end of term performance of their show ‘Revolting Children’ at the Thameside Theatre on Saturday, 6 July.

Coming up at the end of the year, they will be celebrating Christmas with a performance at The Civic Hall, Blackshots on 18 December 2019.

Creative Blast are based at the Thameside Theatre, Grays and offer classes in singing, drama and dance on Saturdays for children aged three upwards.

Director Daryl Branch said: “We have had a fabulous year looking back at past performances and getting in touch with previous students.  It’s great to find out what our students have achieved over the years, many having continued with careers in performing arts and theatre – we even have a couple of past students teaching at our Saturday school!”

Creative Blast prides itself on the fact that their teaching staff are industry professionals and that the school is open to anyone who has a passion for theatre, no matter their background, experience or ability.

Creative Blast Performing Arts Academy is closed for the summer, however, if you would like to find out more or would like to book a free trial class for your child on Saturday, 14 September, email info@creativeblastacademy.com or call the office on 01375 386247.
