Students on religious trip

A DELEGATION of Muslim students from across Thurrock visited holy cities of Makkah and Medina during their school holidays.

The children performed religious obligations and visited various exhibitions and historical places in both cities. The delegation was led by Mr Rasheed Ayoola.

The children came back on Sunday at Heathrow Airport and were received by their parents and Thurrock councillor Qaisar Abbas.

At the airport, Mr. Ayoola said: “We came back from a very successful and knowledgeable tour of sacred cities. This was very eye opening experience for all of us.”

He also thanked Cllr Abbas for arranging their visit to exhibition centre in Makkah and continuously being in contact with them during their stay.
