A?YOUNG man whose life has been changed by a charitable donation has spoken of his gratitude.
In August the Thurrock Independent reported how 21-year-old Cerebral Palsy sufferer Rob Golding from Stanford-le-Hope was looking to upgrade to a wheelchair that would enable him to live a more active life.
Thurrock &?District Cerebral Palsy Society stepped in and offered to fully fund the new chair, which cost £7,403.85 and Rob was presented with it recently. The society raises its funds through sales of donated items at its shop in Lampits Hill Corringham, where Rob received the chair.
He said:?“I have received my new wheels and I couldn’t be happier. I would like to say a massive thank-you to everyone that has helped, you have given me back my independence. I have been truly humbled with the generosity of each and every one of you. Thank-you from the bottom of my heart.”
