Splashing times set to return

BELHUS Park swimming pool is nearly ready to reopen after £2.5 million has been spent on a major refurbishment project over the last eight months.
The 40-year-old pool has been a reliable source of swimming lessons and fun for decades but its heating and ventilation systems have become outdated and some of the other features, such as the roof and changing rooms, have also seen better days.
During the closure period, swimming lessons have been relocated to Corringham and Blackshots. Some aqua aerobics classes were also cancelled or relocated in September, however, a schedule for new lessons has not yet been released.
Regulars at the pool will also be pleased to hear that the iconic frog slide will remain.
The site will reopen on?Friday, 25 May.
