Based in Purfleet, Essex
We are seeking to appoint experienced Carpenters who are able to support the workshop supervisor in the making, repairing and modifying of stage scenery to the highest international standards.
These are exciting opportunities to join our Construction team at the Bob and Tamar Manoukian Production Workshop in Purfleet, Essex.
The site contains a construction carpentry workshop, metal workshop, paint studio and fit up area, enabling us to make scenery for the Royal Opera and Royal Ballet companies and the Birmingham Royal Ballet.
Candidates will ideally have:
• A City and Guilds in Carpentry and Joinery or an equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge and experience of carpentry manufacture using modern and traditional techniques.
• An understanding of period styles and history in construction.
• Interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to lead a small team.
